Weather Cancellation Policy for Religious Education
-
If there is no school in the Marlboro Public School District, there will be no afternoon or evening religious education classes for that day.
-
On Monday or Tuesday, if a storm begins after the children are in school, a decision regarding religious education classes will be made no later than 1:00 p.m. The cancellation will be posted on the parish website, as well as the religious education voice mail system (508-481-7535). Cancellations also may be seen on Channel 5 (WCVB TV) and Channel 7 (WHDH TV).
-
For Sunday evening classes a decision will be made before the start of the 5:00 p.m. Mass. The decision will be announced at the 5:00 Mass and will be posted on the parish website and the religious education voice mail system as noted above.
IMPORTANT CHANGE: PLEASE NOTE THAT NO PHONE CALLS WILL BE MADE ON ANY OF THESE DAYS!
-
Reasons for these changes:
-
The most important reason for this change is our inability to reach parents, guardians or emergency contacts by phone. We were uncomfortable with voice mail messages being our only means of contact.
-
Often the phone numbers we had on file were incorrect.
-
Many times parents/guardians had not provided work or emergency numbers so a voice mail message at home was our only means of communication.
-
These problems have made it necessary for us to shift the responsibility for this communication from us to you. If you have any questions or concerns about this policy, please contact Ms. Jennifer McKiernan in the Religious Education Office, 508-481-7535 or email religous_ed@icschool.net.
